On 31st October 2018, The worlds Tallest Statue named "Statue of Unity"h as been unveiled by the Prime minister of Ithe India. the statue is of India's First vice president and Home Minister Sardar Vallabh Bhai patel, lets read in detail and know the amazing facts behind it.

Whare it is situated?

The Statue of Unity is located near the bank of river Narmada in the Gujarat state it is approximately 3km from Sardar Sarovar dam and located at palace called sadhu bate in Baruch. 

How much Does It Cost To make the world tallest statue?

The over the ost of this statue is estimated to be around 3000 crore Rupees($437 million dollars) which include overall mentainence of it.

Who Was Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel?

Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel was born on 31 October 1875. Sardar Patel was a freedom fighter and a sick person was India's first Home Minister. He had a significant contribution in the fight for independence, which is why he is also called Iron Man of India.

31 October 1875 Sardar Patel was born in Nadiad of Gujarat in a farmer's family. His father's name was Zaverbhai and mother's name was Ladaba Devi. Sardar Patel was the smallest and fourth in his three siblings. Swadhyaya was the main source of education for Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. He studied Barrister from London and after that, he returned to India and started practicing in Ahmedabad. Sardar Patel was inspired by Mahatma Gandhi and participated in the freedom movement. Sardar Patel's first contribution in this fight was given in the Kheda conflict when the Kheda region was in drought and farmers of that demanded a tax exemption from the British government. When the British government did not accept this demand, then Sardar Patel, Mahatma Gandhi and others led the farmers and imposed them for not paying taxes. In the end, the government had to bow down and the farmers were given relief in tax.
Sardar Patel got Sardar name after Bardoli satyagraha when he was called Sardar of Bardoli to take a powerful satyagraha in Bardoli town. Later the Sardar got involved with his name.

After independence most provincial committees were in favor of Sardar Patel. Gandhiji had a desire, so Sardar Patel kept himself away from the prime ministerial race and supported Jawaharlal Nehru. Later, he was given the post of Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of the Planet, after which his first priority was to include the indigenous princely states in India. He did this task without any major fight quarrels. But for the operation Polo of Hyderabad, the army had to send. Since Sardar Patel's contribution was significant in the integration of India, he was called the Iron Man of India. India died on December 15, 1950, and this Iron Man was said to be goodbye to the world.

1. The statue is made up of 75,000 cubic metres of concrete, 5,700 tonnes of steel structure, 18,500 tonnes of reinforced steel rods, 22,500 tonnes of bronze sheets.

2. Its total height is the 208m    58m height of base + 182m height of statue.

3. The statue can withstand up to 6.5 Richter scale earthquake.

4. The designer of this statue is Ram Sutar who also have made the statues of Mahatma Gandhi.

5. The statue is 100times big in comparison to a 6ft man.

6. It took 250 Engineers, 34,000 labors and 45 months to make this statue.

7. The Total Cost of mentainence is 637 crore for 15 years/12 Lakh For Per day.
